About Me

Hi, my name is Fiona. I’m an experienced SENDCo with a Master’s in Psychology, 15 years of teaching, leading and governing in primary and secondary schools, and lived experience of being a SEND parent.

All too often I have seen schools and families in conflict over the support of a child with SEND, whose needs get lost in the process.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

I believe collaboration is key to keep the child at the heart of all the work families and schools do, to see that child flourish in education.

My experience as a SENDCo gives me a wide knowledge of adaptations and provisions that really work in schools, and my life as a SEND mum reminds me of how important it is to get education right for happy children to thrive. I aim to create packages of support that are impactful, achievable and affordable - agreed by both family and school - keeping the child at the heart of everything.
